Our Verdict:
The upshot about electronic drum sets such as the Roland TD-4S is that the set-up and the module are quite compact, yet offer a lot in versatility and performance. The sound quality of this upgraded model is nothing short of amazing compared to its predecessor, the TD-3. The default kits that come with the module are splendid - especially the acoustic kits which give depth and resonance quite close to the real thing. There are a lot more samples for each of the instruments which give the TD-4S a much wider dynamic range. While the TD-4S cant really compare to the high-end modules which are quite pricey anyway, Roland did a good job for this entry-level TD-4S set up. |
