Our Verdict:
Even if you are into acoustic drum kits, you will still consider the Yamaha DTXplorer a fantastic piece of percussion hardware. Playing and recording flexibility come build into this set and makes it worth every penny you pay for, and even more. Recording with an electronic drum set is easy, you can pick up the exact sounds without having to sync it as you would an acoustic type. Although you cannot exactly replicate acoustic output, the Yamaha DTXplorer is definitely a valid substitute, especially for the beginner or for those who have limited space for a full acoustic set up. Whats great about these electronic drum kits is that you can use it anytime of the day without having to disturb your neighbors. The Yamaha DTXplorer is a great drumming companion, especially if you are looking into learning and practicing functionality and features. |

Customer Feedback-
"This product is solid and well made. I feel confident that if proper care and treatment is given it should continue to provide solid performance for as long as I am able to "beat" it." - Actual User Review - Americanmusical.com "If you mean "desire" then I must admit that I went to my dealer for a totally different brand and was prepared to buy - when he showed me the DTXPLORER I was "sold" instantly - had-to-have-it!!" - Actual User Review - Samedaymusic.com "Overall, I think the DTXplorer is a fantastic piece of hardware. Even if you have an acoustic drum kit, the flexibility for playing and recording that comes built into this set make it worth the relatively cheap price." - Actual User Review - Epinions.com "You won't find a nicer electric drum set for the price. I have played on many different sets and this is by far the nicest set for $600. If you have any doubts about this kit, just go with your gut instinct and buy the set. Its well worth it and you wont be disappointed." - Actual User Review - Zzounds.com |
